The combination of advanced entrepreneurial education and real business incubation –Encubation® – is a model that has proven its success by generating more than 50 new compannies while refining more than 350 entrepreneurial individuals.

The Encubation model is part of the two-year action- based master’s education at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, focusing on innovative value creation. The individuals spend their first year obtaining necessary theoretical skills as well as the personal and team skills needed to perform as a dynamic venture team. During the second year of the education they are prepared to take on a real innovation project as business developers. The aim is to develop a business idea into a start-up venture. In addition to their business development work, they also conduct a 60-hec master’s thesis as part of examination from Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship.

The high potential business ideas are scouted and recruited by Encubator. The creative partnership between idea partner, Encubator and business developers allows each party to focus on what it does best while embarking on a joint entrepreneurial journey. Encubator facilitates and supports business development by providing infrastructure, network, seed financing and business advice. After completion of the one-year incubation period, Encubator continues to act as a virtual incubator and an active founder of the incorporated ventures.
